We have been a loyal customer of Jerome's for over 25 years. 90% of our home furnishings we purchased at Jerome's.

We in the past have had good quality furniture at a great price. Well for the last 6 months we have been researching living room furniture to replace the couches and our recliner (previously purchased from Jerome's). We found a sectional relining couch with a matching recliner. We sat in every seat and we felt it was comfortable.

For years Thomas was our salesperson but he apparently retired so Roslyn was our salesperson. She seemed nice and told us the package price. We went home and discussed it and decided to get the whole package which included the recliner. They delivered the sectional and the recliner.

My husband thought the recliner was very uncomfortable and wanted to see what I thought. I got home from work and later sat in the recliner. From the beginning it was very uncomfortable. I gave it a couple of days to see if we could get used to it but it hurt our backs.

I called and they said sometimes they get overstuffed so they will swap out for a new one. The next day it came and it was just as uncomfortable. I called and said I want to return the chair. Roslyn said oh I am so sorry that it is not working out.

I will let the office know so you can return it. Well they called and said all sales are final. I said but the chair does not feel anything like the chair in the showroom, he said yes sometimes the ones on the showroom are worn in and more comfortable. I said well that's not my fault and he said all sales are final.

WOW, I guess loyalty gets you nowhere with this company. Out of all the furniture we purchased through them I have NEVER wanted to return anything. When we bought our package I never remember seeing all sales final anywhere. With all the furniture we have bought I would think that they would want to make us somewhat happy, but I guess not.

Our family room needs new furniture and we were looking at replacing in the next 6 months I won't even go into a Jerome's. I feel that one star is way too much for this company.

Reason of review: Horrible products and customer service.

Monetary Loss: $600.
